I have always been deeply fascinated by the "theory of the child" of the great Italian poet of Decadentism Giovanni Pascoli (1855-1912), "Il fanciullino" in which the poet expresses the beauty of the idea that in each of us intact lodges the pure child as it was originally. This ideal condition preserves the soul from the bitterness of adult life, ensuring that through poetry and art every single thing in life maintains the enthusiastic innocent beauty of an unchanged child's gaze. For this reason I love to create illustrations for children, there are no barriers just freedom, joy, wonder, and the ingenuity of the truth. 

     

Friends From the Forest and Orcas Collection are illustrations dedicated to all animals of Canada, beautiful resilient wildlife that live around us deserves to be protected. In my drawings animals are free and happy in their natural environment, this is how I love to represent them, in nature with all their families and stories. Exactly as they were in my childhood fantasies and now they are around me, I can observe them and feel their magic energy.
