Painting is joy, it is an intimate and personal dimension. When a painting comes to life there is a magic that grows and expresses itself and we are only the vehicle that this form of art uses to emerge from our memories, dreams, desires. Painting for me is a journey and freedom for the soul. In my paintings I love to transfer the emotion of a memory, of a place I loved or a particular light of nature that fascinated me.

Maestrale Exhibit

The Maestrale is the wind that blows from the North-West on the island of Sardinia . It is the supreme wind, master of navigation in the Mediterranean sea. Arriving from the Arctic region it blows cold and lashing and it rules for days the life of the coasts it passes through. Under its reign the colours light up sharp and dazzling, inspiring poetry. This was how the Maestrale wind, which rages in the center of the Mediterranean, was described in ancient times. This is how I love to represent it in my paintings.
